Robert M. Beren Academy is a modern Orthodox Jewish day school affiliated with Yeshiva University, providing a comprehensive Judaic and college preparatory education. We are committed to Torah and its ethical and moral precepts and to developing within our students a spiritual bond with the Land and State of Isael. We are also dedicated to our American heritage and achievement in contemporary society.
RMBA students receive a well rounded high level Judaic studies education, such that they are equipped to enter any community or shul in the world and participate and lead with confidence. Religius Zionism and Torah U'Madda are fundamental to the educational and religious hashkafah/philosophy of our school. In addition, students become conversant in world issues concerning the Jewish people, empowering them to become future Jewish leaders.
Early childhood students benefit from a curriculum based program with an emphasis on teaching social skills.
Our unique Elementary program offers both Montessori and Traditional classes. The strong Hebrew language program prepares students for Hebrew fluency by 2nd Grade. The Elementary student council provides an opportunity for students to develop as young leaders in their school and communities.
The planned Ecology Laboratory will be a focus in our Middle School curriculum. Students will learn science and Torah concepts in a hands-on 1/4 acre EcoLab designed to provide experiential education. Great attention is given to our Middle School students to teach them study skills and help them adapt to the more advanced learning in which they are now immersed.
Our college preparatory High School offers 11 AP classes as well as a wide variety of Judaic learning opportunities. In addition to rigorous academics, students may participate in the myriad of sports offerings, the annual play, yearbook, social action groups or student council.
Seniors are guided by both a College Guidance Director and Israel Guidance Directors. Most students spend at least one year in Israel before going on to study in the top universities in the country. We are very proud that our students are accepted to schools such as Barnard, the University of Pennsylvania, Yeshiva University and New York University.
