Accelerated Reader

The STAR Reading program is a computer-based test, which will be given to students several times year.  The results will provide us with the student's reading level.  As this test will be given several times, we will see the student's growth.  With the data received, each student will be able to successfully choose appropriate books that will maximize their reading growth.

The Accelerated Reader program works hand in hand with STAR Reading program.  Books listed on the Accelerated Reader list have been given a reading level and point value.  Students will choose a book within their reading level ranges. Within 24 hours of reading the book, students will take a computerized test.  The results of the test will tell us the student's knowledge of the book and how many points he or she has earned.  A book list can be found at the following link. However, if a child chooses a book that is not on the list, please call or email Mrs. Jaeger. RMBA can always purchase the accompanying quiz.
