Technology
Robert M Beren Academy has a variety of technology used throughout the school by both students and teachers. We have a state of the art computer lab with twenty-two work stations. Our goal is to provide students the opportunity to explore technology in a variety of settings. In additional to regular scheduled technology classes, students are able to explore technology in their Judaic and secular class through integration projects.
Technology will be integrated into the learning and instruction, consistent with the overall educational goals, values and ethics of the school and the community. We are dedicated to using technology as a means to foster the Jewish identity of our students and connect them to other Jewish communities around the world. Students use the internet as a research tool; in the process they gain the ability to decipher quality information. Robert M Beren Academy will seek to instill in our students ethical and productive uses for technology.
The Faculty uses technology, such Smart boards, to enhance their instruction. In addition, the faculty communicates with parents through the use of Renweb. Renweb allows teachers to post assignments, grades and other upcoming events.
The goal of the technology department is to constantly look at ways to improve our teaching methods and to evaluate new technology that could be useful to the school community.
