Key Job Responsibilities:
Student Support
- Provide short-term individual and group counseling to students coping with anxiety, stress, friendship challenges, family transitions, identity exploration, and other social-emotional needs.
- Serve as a visible, approachable presence for students, fostering trust and rapport across all grade levels.
- Develop and maintain confidential records and communicate appropriately with parents and school personnel, ensuring student privacy and safety.
Crisis Response & Referral
- Respond to urgent or crisis situations with compassion, professionalism, and discretion.
- Coordinate with families and outside mental health professionals when long-term or intensive support is needed.
- Participate in safety planning and support re-entry for students returning from hospitalization or extended absence.
Prevention & Programming
- Design and implement school-wide or grade-level programming focused on wellness, healthy relationships, coping skills, emotional regulation, and peer support.

Candidates should be flexible and be able to assume various roles not related specifically to counseling i.e. substituting, supervising extracurricular activities and/or trips including the ability to spend most lunches/recesses with all students to help with supervision, guidance and support. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (required).
- Licensure or certification (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, School Counselor) preferred.
